Did a very basic share trading course at a tafe many many years ago- a broker from a large firm was conducting it, said if anyone wasn't comfotable investing , if they wanted to, he could do it on their behalf- 50/50 split on profits. One day I got a call from the fraud squad wanting to know if I was the same individual who had attended the course. Yes- I said. Then he asked if I had kept any correspondence from him asking me to give him money to invest on my behalf. Yes- I said. Asked me to send it by express registered mail to them. Came out to see me. Guy ended up in jail, couldn't believe how many had parted with their money. The broker had a gambling habit.
Yes- the chemist ended up in jail, can't remember how long for. Believe it was one of the doctors from a local practice who reported him.
