    Hi Charlie'sbucket.

    Not sure about oxidising. Don Lewis said that the Mbalam iron ore was because the soil and other elements eroded/washed off and left the iron ore showing. Could be over the years since SDL started work that the iron ore could be coming closer to the surface with all the rain they get and soil run-off. It already is at surface and just below surface down to at least the 600mt depth.
