it simply means 'on face value' or 'at first glance'

Pretty hard not to have a 'Prima Facie' case when the drugs were in her bag.


Maybe the defence did a bad job but not sure how they can defend against the 100% strike rate judge and the fact that because she had the drugs in her bag. So she was found guilty on 'prima facie' or on face value.
How do you defend against that?
