I currently don't hold because of the downtrend... HOWEVER, just to make for interesting reading, here's a conclusion from ABN AMRO....
"We continue to believe a global pharmaceutical company could be a marginal acquirer of healthcare assets. Accordingly, we think it appropriate to reflect a possible global pharmaceutical company bid in our target price as, on our analysis, CSL has the highest IRR in the sector. Our 12-month target price of A$48.15 is at a premium to our valuation to take into account potential
upside from a possible bid. The size of the premium (currently 30%) depends on the maximum control premium that an acquirer could pay for CSL and still achieve an equity IRR of 20%."
They reckon CSL is line for a takeover bid.... what are people's thoughts on this? Surely not in this environment?
