The question of what the Budget might hold for GDY is an interesting one. Strictly speaking there should not be anything in it to promote geothermal power. After the final Garnaut Report appears on 30 September (the interim report will come in June) the Government will digest it and then take some major initiatives on climate change which should include clean energy funding. However, infrastructure provisions probably will feature in the Budget and I am hoping that transmission line infrastructure will come under that umbrella. I have been promoting noises to that effect.
