An interesting read in link below for anyone that is looking to kill a few minutes time and wants to better understand the silicon anode challenges and landscape.

This recent paper shows the many issues along with the many solutions being trialled around the world to reach the end goal of a commercially viable silicon anode system.
There is likely to be multiple ways to achieve a functional system with a combination of advanced binders, electrolytes and silicon materials but the big factors towards making it any commercial benefit will remain cost, scalability and incorporation into existing production processes will remain the key to unlocking the doors to the big battery companies.

What the paper also shows is the vast amount of research that is going on into cracking the silicon code and how it has been progressing the last few years.
Some of the earlier composite materials are being refined and superseded at speed. The big early investment in a few of these processes may end up being for nought if a technology emerges that can bring similar results with unrefined silicon.
Still a long way to go in this race but with AnteoX advanced binder and multiple anode formulations trialled, running out the front in the lead pack with a niche core technology and a lot of know how is a nice start.

We already know cost savings can be achieved, incorporation into existing manufacturing processes was achieved late last year now the question is can scaled production be achieved.

Bring on the pilot plant to show the interested eyes production of AnteoX can be achieved at scale…when that works then 2024 will be the year Anteotech is publicly recognised as a serious contender…
