Great article J&B, unfortunately my brain hurt after about 15 pages, but all of the quoted variants and methods up to then to include silicon and to try and overcome its limitations such as expansion and low capacity retention seem to pale in significance compared to our last public stats of around 6 months ago.
Very few of them seem to get anywhere near 500 cycles with over 80% capacity retention and presumably with relatively low silicon content.
From memory we had achieved over 800 cycles with 90% capacity retention and a high % of silicon.
With our huge cost savings, ease of adoption into current processes, lower weight to capacity benefits, use of cheaper and hugely abundant silicon etc, I find it hard to believe we won’t see our tech being broadly adopted in the short term.
I believe we have something very special which is why I think Ferroglobe are pushing to get a piece of the action.
I think the predictions of ‘24 being our year to shine are highly justified.
