PE is really simple.

If the coy gets to production, and acheives industry rating, can expect a PE of xxxx, then the target MC & SP derived, BINGO.

Why complicate with other variables?

I think of it in tomorrows dollars, albiet 2 years from now, and appreciate that other methods arrive at todays dollar value. If it's straight forward, the punter can do the math themselves. Keep it simple.

When I see a coy, I look for profits and just say, if they get to production, in tomorrows dollars with this PE they then must do this growth from now to then.

For me, risks, its black or white. They succeed or fail.
Glass overflowing, or empty.

ie a 8 bagger in 3 years, means double your money every year. I dont need to put that into todays dollars, because I know Double means more than inflation.

It helps to be able to do this PE math in about 30 seconds, if your talking to someone on the street too.
