I have had another look at the WiFi screen dumps that Alecfra posted.
I think we were mistaken in thinking that the ADSL 3 service was being offered by GoConnect. What's happening, I guess, is that GoConnect's logo appears above and below what is actually an ad for Netbay's ADSL 3 service. Note how the GoConnect logo shows far higher resolution than the five persons gambolling on the beach and the associated text.
Netbay does offer an ADSL 3 service.

Well, here's hoping that many posters connect at Flinders Street station today, and give us an account of the ads they have seen on publicly available free WiFi.
A favoured few testers with passwords won't help any more, if the undertaking to the ASX is to be worth anything.
