Well today was a bit rough, here's a little side project of mine I spent some time on to keep busy and away from commsec

It might be a bit rude to show this off and not be ready to go in to production but it looked so pretty I just had to put it out there



You can pick it up and hold on to it / pass it around then it sits back in to its little recessed base



Testing out the different molecular modelling techniques, I prefer ball and stick but it was just too fragile, the one in the pic is broken



Just to give an idea of how 3D printing works, the plastic is laid down at about 0.2mm per layer, the black base was an 11 hour print and the orange molecular model was 4 hours. They are great for playing around for personal use but not great for churning out 50 widgets at a time.
