Most companies enter acquisitions with high goals and good intentions. Whether they execute and deliver is another matter altogether. One question to ponder is the motivations of the vendor - why were they so keen to give away an good growth company with a long runway? The owners are obviously smart/intelligent too.
I still have faith in management, but the risk is significantly elevated after this transaction.
