Does the signing of an option agreement give a corporate entity a legal enforceable interest in a project?

Not according to the ASX otherwise the company would have been compelled to report.

Does Xstrata have a legal enforceable interest in the Garatau/Tubatse Projects by virtue of its exclusive option agreement with Genorah and Nkwe or does it only acquire this interest after it exercises the option?
