Sales pace has been roughly stable - i.e. hadn't really changed despite some hope of a material upgrade. Pricing improved, so that saved the result a bit.
They reached EBITDA positive vs EBITDA neutral expectation, but they could be confident it wouldbe positive by a miniscule amount and they can spin it differently to the last update.
Fundamentally not much has changed last 3-6 months IMO Investors just got too bearish at the lows and short sellers got caught with too big a short position in a relatively illiquid stock. It is still a slow grind in filling up the centres and just because the stock price has moved up people think its back to happy days again. The tail (price action) wagging the dog (sentiment) so to speak
That said I continue to hold the stock as investors would start paying up for the high operating leverage (costs are fixed) as the business turns profitable. I'm disappointed that revenues are not growing quicker. The guidance may not be overly conservative given December and January sales pace tends to slow down due to telco embargo.
