The next Qld parliment sitting dates are 16th, 17th and 18th of April, the last sitting was last week and I didn't notice any mention of UCG during this period, so maybe the next sitting might brings some news.
I believe with the Bligh Government leaving the current Newman government with the law suit by Cougar Energy this would mean the current government is certainly in an unenviable position to say the least and I feel this would mean they'll have to be extemely thorough in their decision making in relation to all future decisions made toward UCG.
As we know, the Cougar Energy debacle will have forced thorough investigation and heavy scrutiny and I'm sure this will in several ways have both entities, both the government and Cougar eating a bit of humble pie no doubt.
All this aside, ultimately this ordeal will most certainly have played a significant role in the decision making and proposing the way forward for this exciting and potentially rewarding technology.
I for one can't wait to hear what they've proposed for UCG in Qld.
