    I can't recall what has been said about the optimum depth in terms of cost but I would have thought that operating at greater depths would mean higher hydrostatic pressures and therefore higher operating pressures.

    As for sunk investment, my understanding is that both panels have been decommissioned,are undergoing rehabilitation and unlikely to be returned to service.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but on this basis, the sunk investment would have no future value in any case.
