Chartay, actually, i am quite familiar with that situation as i was invested in Selwyn Resources before the JV with the Chinese. Currently, the YESAA's decision allowing a major multi-year underground exploration project to move ahead is still a go. The issue with Selwyn was that they were too lax in their environmental procedures and assessment during the months prior to the DFS. They were also not on a first name basis with the Liard First Nation groups and had not hired much personnel from the domestic front. With the Chinese in the fold, they are just trying to expedite an operation to reap the rewards. I foresee an environmental assessment to get the First Nation's on board...
In relation to OVR, this is not an issue at all. The operation and footprint is much smaller. Additionally, First Nation employees of OVR have been included in the environmental assessment process [look up previous news releases] and management have also been in constant contact with YESAA. In fact, the First Nation groups are actively interested to get the mine up and running. This is why it is so important to interact and communicate with the relevant indigenous groups when getting a mine permitted.
