All the issues that were brought up in Towie's item about Denmark, as I previously mentioned, were also discussed by Stephen Sakur on the BBC TV programme HARD TALK yesterday. By coincidence he was interviewing not the Danish , but the Swedish prime minister. There are many sociological problems associated with large immigrant communities following Sharia law but being completely isolated from the wider Swedish community. Huge welfare costs.
Nobody has a better record than the BBC when discussing current affairs unless it's Radio 4. The politicians are walking on eggshells here(votes). One of Britain's writers got into a spot of bother a few months ago for speaking the truth. The level of serious discussion in Oz is appalling. I worked as an expat in Iran under the Shah many years ago. A friend of a friend had a baby kitten & needed to give it a new name-" Let,s call it Shahanshah ",i.e.King of Kings. He was reported to Savak & was deported from the country within a week. I'm beginning to feel like it's getting that way here.
