the are obviously social issues always swept under the carpet.
for decades thru 1970 - 90's kidnapping of children went on en masse here in australia. Fact. the media never made mention of this fact. although now the federal police do station an officer at international airports in Oz.
the media only highlighted the one case of the malaysian muslim prince & the gillespie woman in the 1990's.
my partner, in the early 1980's, in her grief, befriended many women traumatised with the same plight. the reader can guess to whom these aussie girls were married to - i will not mention to what nations the kids were taken because censorship is more powerful than the truth!
the same phenomona was also happenning in europe - especially germany. where the fleeing husband just had to skip down the autobahn to turkey (as were the majority of cases).
this is a big issue because in today's australia there are thousands of aussie women who still grieve the loss of their kids - & have never seen them again. this is a very destabilizing phenomona to the social fabric.
these women are prone to gamble, smoke, drink to excess. trying to control their decades old grief.
