BEN has been playing catchup lately esp. when BOQ's SP was rising quicker than BEN's.
TPX's sale of its 50% share in Tasmanian Banking Services to BEN settles 10/8/09.
BEN increasing its share from 50% to 60% in Rural Bank and ELD's sale of its insurance division to QBE, may reflect ELD to offload the remaining 40% in Rural Bank some time in the future, to reduce further debt.
I can see BEN consolidate the banking sector in the smaller end, thus hopely get over $10.
