Yes very likely to be fear and panic selling today. However, bear in mind Oz is a day ahead. Wouldn't be surprised to see more selling in the US tomorrow. Trump and co. are quite possibly going to come up with more extra-ordinary measures over the wk-end.
Volatility can cut both ways. Sell some shares if u feel you have to raise cash but would be a shame to panic sell on a friday only to see huge measures over the wk-end that see big rallies on Monday. There may be a lot of people getting whipsawed.
