Thanks Chuck, I was playing devil's advocate a bit so please forgive.

I was mainly referencing the article and making a general comment that I think most gold companies wouldn't make it in a depression, whether deflationary or hyper-inflationary. Heck, most gold companies haven't made it in this bull market so heaven help if times actually got tougher.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a stock picker's market. Silver Lake has powered ahead despite floating at the worst possible time a few months before GFC hit.
