but I would add that the big energy demand from more northern latitudes countries is also well interconnected to lower latitudes (and could be increasingly interconnected)
and those big northern latitude demand centers also have a lot of hydro and/or wind - now or potential. e.g Canada, northern US, Scandinavian countries.
