"I blame the greed of doctors Scott.". .. we all use such generalisations but clearly not all doctors are guilty as charged.

stats too generalise across the entire profession. not all GPs make the same money. as I wrote above, the rise of the polyclinic private businesses have seen more rorting of Medicare. repeatedly govts have criticised GPs for making excessive claims on medicare billing. but they never seem to manage to repair the problems.

"the private healthcare companies setting up GP practitioners". .. are now everywhere and making terrific profits.... the companies that is, not so much the GPs.

wer had a good functional system under Hawke to Howard. the last decade has seen serious degradation of Medicare and rorting to excess.
