The new joint venture will see a high grade magnetite product produced from Mt Bevan iron ore which will be exported to India, the new joint venture will enable Atlas/Hancock to export iron ore to both Chinese and Indian customers and a producing iron ore mine in the Yilgarn Craton region of WA will help maintain Atlas/Hancock iron ore exports should the Pilbara region be subject to cyclonic weather conditions.
