Bangladesh is to spend around $2.7 billion on upgrading "dependable"power infrastructure of which around 500MW will be supplied by solar power..inc 10,000 solar irrigation pumps,mini-grid solar power systems,solar electrification at railway stations,and solar power for Govt. buildings.The initiative is being supported and ecouraged by the Asian Development Bank.
