    Longtermlegs,

You mentioned that Northern Minerals would be a buy
of the century at 50c if we were taken out..absolutely!
However, it would be the "crime of the century" if our
fledgling company never reached its potential. For there
    is much at stake...

The most newsworthy article of late IMO, is about NSU
a Canadian company that has access to a new Rare Earth
technique based on 'pharmaceutical' methods that extract
    critical compounds from plants.[Patent pending]

NSU state..'the advantage of a pharmaceutical business
and technology model is by developing our own resources
first and then be in a position to license the method to
    other REE companies.'

[Photos of REEs in containers are impressive, similar to
supplementation supplied by health care professionals]

NSUs extraction process will focus on ores having minimal
REE concentrates and their goal is to vastly reduce the
tailings and contaminants associated with mining.

As previously posted, the essential role of trace elements
in the support of the immune system against viruses, fungi,
and degenerative diseases is well documented.

    ****

scholarly work was done from 1920 to 1978 with essential
minerals and elements. It was found that 95% of all chronic
degenerative diseases that afflict humans can be prevented
and cured by giving back to the body, the missing basic
    elements of life.

The study of mineral deficiency diseases was dealt a mortal
blow by the discovery of penicillin/antibiotics and was
totally destroyed in the ranks of Medicos, by the drive to
find patentable genetic techniques to treat all diseases
    from farting to cancer.

There are 75 metals listed in the periodic chart, all of
which have been detected in human blood. At least 60 of
these metals [minerals] have physiological value for man.

Organically, not a single function in the human body can
take place without at least one mineral/element or metal
co-factor.Trace elements are defined as those elements
present in soils in amounts of less than 0.1% by weight.

Rare Earths..refers to any of a large series of similar
oxides of metals obtained from widely distributed, but
relatively scarce minerals.Rare Earths are divided into
three groups, according to the method of separating them.

    1) Cerium elements: Lanthanum,cerium,neodymium,illinium
    and samarium.

    2) Terbium elements: Europium, gadolinium and terbium.

    3) Yttrium or ytterbium: dysprosium, erbium, holmium thulium
    and lutecium.

The atomic numbers of these Rare Earths [with the exception
of yttrium] are consecutive numbers from 57 to 71.Beryllium
hafnium, scandium, thorium and zirconium are also included
as Rare Earths by some geochemists.

Rare Earths when added to laboratory animals diets as a
supplement,to the well recognized major trace elements
have "doubled" the expected life span of a given species.
    HOLD THAT THOUGHT!

Nutrition 'experts' recognize 'new' nutrients as valuable
for humans..anywhere from 50 to 1000 years 'after' they
are known to be 'essential' for animal health/longevity.
Salt licks are a classic example.

    Our fall from grace...

    Initial Depletion Phase:

Initial depletion phase of trace elements in humans is
seen by changes only in the metabolism of the element
itself. There is no disturbance of biological function and
is not detectable by a test. This phase of trace mineral
deficiency returns to normal very quickly with a return
    to normal intake.

    Compensated Metabolic Phase:

This phase is characterized by a reduction of certain
biochemical functions, such as trace mineral dependent
enzyme reactions, causing low blood sugar, irregular heart
    beat,white hair/loss,etc.

    Decompensated Metabolic Phase:

This phase of trace mineral deficiency is characterized
by he appearance of symptoms such as,pre-diabeties,ADD,
    ADHD,dyslexia,gay behavior,dystrophy of muscles,lack of
work stamina and longevity of a species.

    Clinical Phase:

This clinical phase of a trace mineral deficiency is
characterized by the onset of full blown disease states.
For most trace mineral deficiencies in the clinical phase
diagnosis by 'orthodox' physicians is almost none existant.

We are told that antibiotics are failing-that more and
more bacteria are now resistant to these drugs.Diseases
claimed to have been conquered, are returning in more
    virulent forms.[Tuberculous,Polio,etc]

To this must be added the increase in the rate of
degenerative diseases for none of which 'scientific
medicine' has found real answers. There may be several
causes for these failures, but a very basic cause has been
ignoring the pivotal role of nutrition in health and
    disease.

Few of us here suffer fools gladly, however,a simpleton
could grasp that a window of enormous opportunity exists
for 'Northern Minerals' to climb the 21st century ladder
of technology and perhaps form a subsidiary company to
manufacture Rare Earths for dietary supplementation. At
the same time scraping away layers of confusion and error
with skilled promotion and to arrive at a basic truth
regarding the role of Rare Earths in the restoration and
    maintenance of human health.

[David Rijkers made reference to the above in a recent
report,so Northern Minerals is not asleep on this issue]
