Agree Blackstone a very sophisticated outfit, hence arrival on the scene as can smell money to be made. Will come out of this either with $20M for a couple of months work or a ripper deal to effectively position long on Arrium's recovery potential at lenders and shareholders expense.
And totally understand hesitation to give current management your support given their track record to date. However as already on board I'm holding my nerve to see what unfolds. Suspect it's not quite as straight forward as appears on surface.
Anyway, within 3 weeks sll to be revealed, at least we'll soon know where we're heading.
If I were the lending syndicate, wouldn't be hard to get a better deal than GSO by showing a little flexibility or blessing alternative recapitalisation options - even if through gritted teeth...
