Malcolm Turnbull wants action on climate change. He is rich and successful and his views differ to Jones.

Jones is crapping on about the hypocrisy of young people who as consumers contribute to rising emissions. That of course applies to adults as well including himself.

However his commentary imo is just another blustering attempt to satisfy the low brow audience of the Sky media and to provide controversy as clickbait.

If he was serious about the issue he would have instead of attacking young people of conviction, direct his commentary in an intelligent manner and say that the preferred way of addressing climate change is not to markedly reduce living standards but to transition into a smarter cleaner way of manufacturing, of conducting agriculture and protecting the general environment. Its big ticket items that are needed to reverse the trend instead of crapping on about airconditioning in schools. In fact if we do nothing to mitigate global warming and associated climate change with more weather extremes the need for airconditioning will become even greater. He made no mention in that clip of dirty fuels, dirty energy, dirty industries that could be cleaned up and provide new industry and opportunities for the future.

Imagine telling children who are concerned about any serious issue to shut up as if that is an acceptable way to raise our kids.

Sounds like the Taliban who wouldn't even allow female children to get an education.
