Love Port Douglas as a place to live but not to invest. High/low seasons, it will always struggle a bit. Visited last Feb to see how it fared in the wet season. Weather beautiful, not a lot of rain but more than half of the shops/restaurants closed and no-one around. Interesting to see if mortgage stress of the southern states will impact on it's occupancy rates.
