The only explanation that fits the history of these transparently daft claims is that GCN has been suffering self-delusion since its start.

To give one minor example, who else are they fooling but themselves when the opening page of their website, this very day, claims:
"GoConnect's proprietary Free WiFi Marketing Platform is already empowering businesses and internet users at Melbourne Metro Trains stations, Melbourne's Jam Factory, and soon Glen Waverley's Century City Walk Entertainment precinct, Stockland shopping centres, and Melboune CBD."
