Dear Mr Treasurer
What a cracking idea, although I'd suggest an additional 50% tax on renters would perhaps be even better as it would keep this ponzi steaming along even longer. Let's face it, it doesn't matter how high prices house prices get or how indebted the populace becomes - what matters is that our members (and yours, given your last job) on the Property Council have their interests protected.
After all, there's only so much a supportive banking industry, insurance industry, real estate industry, construction industry, treasury, media, house price indices provider, tax office,fraud office and immigration department can do to maintain the farce without a little outside help.
