partner1 - a poster, WhaleWatcher has a 2007 tipping comp in his blog (comp closed now) - but we're probably all maxed out on tipping as an annual thing, as the market is so volatile.

I'm personally expecting the year to stay bullish - maybe we'll get 18 months if we're lucky to maximise gains, and tuck some away for harder times when we revert to blue chips - but I agree with TheApprentice - need to pounce on the good specs right now - find the 'going and growing' ones that are likely to achieve nad take some risks.

That is my opinion.
I have ideas of what I think are good plays for this year - but of course, that can change week by week too!

I like PRU which was on your list - also think :(and these are punts from my brain only - please do not invest on this without a big DYOR!)

CDU will quadruple in price in 4 months,
PEL - strong growth
PTR - unstoppable
YML - strong growth -good results will see it fly
UXA - neat uranium play still priced well
YGL - one of the purest cheap oil plays available today
MMB - good results will fly
AWS - left field retail sector growth with a tiny market cap right now

and many more!!
We all have our ones to watch - and our ones to trade in certain price channels -
let's just hope the bull keeps roaring so we can capitalise on these good times and set ourselves up for a good retirement!!
