Thank you Bsiemsen for a more positive view of the AVQ position. I have been perplexed as to why we would take seriously the opinion of a lawyer who represents those who oppose AVQ in this court proceedings. My information has been,as posted here before, that the majority of the BLA,who formed the BML originally, have decided to back the Axiom case and those that remain opposed are possibly with this particular lawyer and some other entity ,possibly associated with the old Axiom crew. The fact that Axiom has offered these landowners a twenty percent shareholding in their resource with seats on the board( compared with the normal extortionist terms "other companies" have offered to date) plus the determination to get in at the ground level with a bit of charitable work to establish their credentials has given them huge kudos on the ground. However, despite the fact that the landowners of the resource do not give a rats bum what a court in Honiara says as to what happens on their land(as sumitomo found out after being granted the tender before and the Govt was powerless to tell the landowners what to do),as an foreign company we have to go through this process again and IMHO we have done all we can to try and secure this fantastic KNOWN resource. Good Luck to all.
