Dear @Sweetsound - I totally agree with you - on every level - the woman singer is so much better than the choice; re the present winner, not my choice, neither his mode of dress nor the song, but not many songs from that contest seem to pass the test of time.
I am also guessing: Switzerland haven't won in a long time, even though they were one of the first countries in this contest, even won it in the first contest with Lys Assia singing.
This song 'The Troubadour' is lovely - and just in time for me to make up with a new friend, who has Dutch connections.
I shall forward it to her.
