@Sweetsound - what a beautiful post - I am glad I waited with my response . . . I agree with all you have to say in this post. There is obviously forgiveness and understanding coming out loud and clear!
Most people and I could complain about their parents - major complaint: mine didn't recognise that i needed further education like a person dying from thirst, needs water - and all I could do, take my fate into my own hands - and make the usual balls-up, but in the end a happy one. But since then, I have lost two beloved people, my husband at 55 and a few years ago my gifted daughter same age, too - except she died from a long-drawn-out cancer, which, in the end I didn't get to see, due to travel restrictions - she died in England. That is my big sorrow, but i have overcome it, know how to put the bad thoughts of her suffering etc. into a box, whenever they surface. So you see, I am an old woman, looking younger than my years - again - I was rather worn and drawn just 1 year ago - but decided, whatever life I have left, I am going to live to the full of my capacity. You are probably my children's age - and have so much time left - don't waste it, please!!!
Wow, brown bread, lard and raw onions - my 'go-to' especially when I felt a cold coming on - really sustaining. Right now, my stomach is still in no fit state, but I am thinking 'recipes' again - which is a good sign . . . and I am thinking of baking again - my special brown bread, which smells good, even just in its 3-day fermentation state. (Why have people given up baking good bread?)
Contentment and taking a moment to just sit still, listen to nature in all its colourful utterances is my 'go-to' meditation, that and - right now: sleep - as I have had some bad nights with this darnned virus - I will take to heart what you said about 'birsalma' - am always game to try something new. So glad you wrote this beautiful post - one thing I have learnt, to have a friend, or just a 'person who is willing to listen' - in one's vicinity is worth gold - do you have such a person or persons? Now I'll check out your video and the Hungarian link - (I love things Hungarian, have a lot of Hungarian handcrafted items in my home, and people always admire the intricate handiwork. ) A viszont . . . or as they still say in Vienna: Szervusz Tau ❤️
