@Taurisk
Sorry you have had a series of rather unpleasant and unfortunate events to contend with - when it rains, sometimes it pours - I'm sure you're happy to put all behind you.Losing some pounds may not be so bad - the bad part is losing such due to illness - just as well you kept some clothing from earlier times.
Many years ago I bought a pie in the city in Sydney. The place was a very busy and well patronaged business but a couple of hours after eating it I got very very sick - at the time there was a train strike and I stayed at another family member's house so as to facilitate going to work by catching buses. Honestly, I thought I was going to an early grave. Due to the train strike plus stubbornness, I did not seek medical attention. Poor stomach, didn't see that one coming but then neither did I. With many hours of agonizing pain, it eventually passed, still here and still recall. Didn't even have good music access back then to at least aid in soothing the mind.
As for doctors there was one local one here that I once asked whether there were any recommended alternative options to drugs prescribed - 'I only deal with western medicine' was the blunt and direct reply - rather odd, as a couple of GP's I knew in Sydney did studies in alternative herbal potions and actually used to advise to take such prior to western poisons and their myriad of side effects - they may not have always worked but then how many times ditto for western medicines?
I also sadly saw the effects of western medicines on my own mother - it wasn't pretty and the drugs were not only addictive but over time due to becoming ineffective stronger substances were prescribed. Not a fan - maybe you'll understand my stance on at least certain so called medicines.![]()
Perhaps a song:
Excerpt:
Rushing is violence, and so is your silence when it’s rooted in compliance.
In our political climate it's rather sad and a reminder of how many of us just follow and if not, be subjected to being hounded with all manner of insults.
As for Easter, still recall painted eggs, though just painting with different colours is a far cry from those who devote much effort and time to deliver a dozen or so with such exquisite workmanship as these:
And yet with such beautiful works, cracks are showing in our fragile world with many conflicts.
Close with an Easter song with a twist on Hallelujah:
Boldog Húsvéti Ünnepeket kívánok neked. Vigyázz magadra. Szeretettel. Ss.
