Hi Mal I agree they were being conservative with the $20B target. Perhaps they’re playing it so they can set expectations low and smash it later to send a positive shock through the SP when they next need to raise capital.
I’m also glad they’ve stated this year quoting active customer numbers based on who transacted in the last 12 months, so ARPU is more accurately calculated and we get a better sense of how many people are actually using AfterPay today. Would be interesting to know what the retention vs new customer acquisition rate looks like.
I personally feel $100 ARPU would be a bit of a stretch this year but we’ll see, ad revenue not sure about either at least in the mid term. I just want to see them grow this as big as possible overseas without sacrificing too much revenue %.
It’s also been 3 months since Forever 21 was announced so expecting something of that calibre soon. From the Q&A and the things I have been seeing on Instagram it seems they are milking and investing into their relationship with Forever 21 to accelerate their customer acquisition.
