I bought my shares when they were De Laurentiis Film Studios. I was invited to the Grand opening. I was very young my first share purchase ever bought at .60 cents total outlay $600.00 my life savings. This was in the days when interest rates were 15.5% about 23 years ago, they went down to .14 cents I told my Dad to buy them. Me being his little girl of cause he didn't listen, during all those years I was taking the Share reinvestment plan I ended up with all these preference shares. Then that stoped and dividend payments were made they have paid for themselves over and over again. Every year I would be given a book full of discounts another little perk. I could have sold many times over still hold them. For me these shares hold a special place in my heart its not about the money, its about the fact that I hold a share in something that is fun and creative and exciting.
