The Yanks depend on slave labour, always have.

The first, and best known, trip down this road was the transportation of Black Africans. That didn't end too good because they couldn't send them back. FAIL

The second and most successful venture was seconding Chinese Mandarins to enslave there own people and ship their cheep cheep goods across the Pacific. It didn't cost TOO much and they didn't have to care for the needy.

That was great but it didn't solve the problem of nannies and waiters at home so they allowed porous borders with Sth America. It was important that this be ILLEGAL or the wetbacks might have demanded rights. Of course having an underclass of mainly black citizens didn't do any harm to this worker pool either.

Today, there is shock and horror among whites who just 5 years ago were comfortable in their superiority. They are now among the oppressed.

Apart from slavery Yanks believe power comes from the end of a gun. I know of no conflict that has NOT been solved by a shooting war. I doubt this will be different.
