Well, for one, there is this delusional character who claims the Navajos have some magical power to resurrect Big Sandy and guarantee its approval. This is based on the racist assumption that the Hopi judge favored the Hualapai, but will abandon them in favor of the Navajo, with whom the Hopi have had running land disputes, sometimes rising to the level of violence, for decades. Even if a new case is assigned to a new judge, the facts decided against AZL have little or no chance of being reexamined, at least before an appeal. And the judge, like BLM, was probably disgusted by the AZL attempt to curry favor by hiring token Native Americans from the other side of the state.
