Why would the Qld govt be giving the lease of the venus project to 2 companies with a total of not much better than loose change between them? Same as the Cooper lease which was very cheap because its very marginal country that successful producers dont want for obvious reasons. Many times during the Cooper basin project we were reminded of our successful neighbours( santos) and they still dont see any value there. Rinse and repeat
