That’s very harsh. An internet engineer and a fireman put their lives on the line for no expectation of anything. If the kids had been dead, you’d never have heard of them. The anaesthetist wasn’t there for anything but the well being of the team. He’s probably the only person in the world so qualified.
All these guys get is a “feel good” sensation. Maybe you’ve never experienced that, and only do things for material gain or influence? If so, you should try it. Anonymously, so nobody can know that you paid for someone’s petrol, restaurant meal, or a donation to charity.
