In making such assessments, I put myself in managements shoes and consider what I would do given the particular circumstances at hand.

The exact shape of events that may or may not eventually unfold of course cannot be determined before time...but one can at the very least look at the players and make an educated guess at a likely approach.

If it makes sense to me...chances are it will make sense to them?
