Christians & Jews have lived under Islam for hundreds of years. it got bad when the Turks from central asia took over Islam but originally it is often reported the Jews were better off under the Muslims than the Xians.

if there was a rule in the Koran to kill all non-muslims then there would be no Christians & Jews living in Islamic nations. why don't you think with logic?
