yeah, aside from the overbought technicals I can't see any trigger for a major selloff atm, and it will take some sort of trigger for sellers to emerge. So, something that inspires fear... maybe bad earnings? maybe an osama event? maybe some further unfolding of the credit crunch? maybe a responsible rate rise in usa (fat chance)? Certainly the market is due for a pullback, but how many times have we said that here over the past year or so... Despite phi dates and overbought technicals, with the global reserve banks all colluding with the usa fed to inject even more liquidity into the global system and sovereign funds taking bigger and bigger slices of the available equity markets, the risks have got to be to the upside atm. Completely ridiculous situation, too much money (in nominal terms) chasing too few assets.. at least the technicals set the stage for any market fright to have a tradeable downside.. if it happens
