Thank you very much for that detailed explanation ... it make sense now. One thing I have come to appreciate is the strong earnings of banks ... the divvy cheque on CBA bought at $22 looks pretty good now ... and possibly set to improve in the subprime washout.
There is a real case for a long term portfolio to at least contain BHP and CBA these days. I know WES is a bit out of favour at the moment but long term I think they will bed down coles and the takeover will have made the group imo.
