Don't you love the group photos, of all their business contacts that they do the deals with? The party machine will be over soon enough. They will need money to pay the management fees on the Forestania leases. Goodness knows why they wanted those when they had no money to develop them. The old stories of going into development won't work now.
The Gekko is at Kat Gap but it looks like it's too expensive to run. Digging the decline, probably cost a couple of mill. And all they got to show for it is two thin amalgam dores. Why didn't they need environmental bonds to fill in the hole?
They could try to sell the whole lot, but I don't think anyone would want it. The only value of Kat Gap was as a drawcard for shareholders to stump up salaries & wages. The equipment such as diggers trucks looked to be leased from business associates. They milked it for the last 10 years & managed to get it through to the end of the spec bull run. Run up some debt & beach it around Feb is my guess. Just view the last accounts and make your own assessment..
