I don't think there is anything unusual about it - it's just the market. Quite often, each time there is a move in one direction, participants pop up to fill the demand in the other direction. It doesn't mean they are hidden or anything nefarious - it's just when they think it's advantageous for them to participate. It's easy to look for conspiracies sometimes but, more often than not, the conspiracies are phantoms of people's imaginations.
