You're correct a phone is not a medical apparatus.
But then again what you are calling a phone is actually a hand held micro-computer.
These days it's a bit of a misnomer to call the device a phone. Since the early days, when they were only a phone, the phone has evolved to the point that it is just an App, just like every other application.
The only real difference is, the computer comes with the phone app already installed.
So the point is, your argument is in pretext, wrong.
Computers are used as an integral part of just about all things medical.
