The main reason we have inflation is because your government allows big business like power companies, to increase prices of petrol, gas and electricity unchecked. How the hell putting interest rates up 13 times in less than 2 years helps control inflation is beyond me. What it does do, is give the average person far less money in their pocket to meet day to day demands while the greedy Banks get richer.
